Now hang on one fudging minute what was the deadline again? Oh yeah that's right it was Last Friday. so for your amusement 'cos you know it sure as hell made me laugh is their idea of "helpfulness".

Date: Wed, April 21, 2004 1:15 pm

Dissertation Training for MSC and all Final Year Students:

We would like to draw your attention to the following training sessions that
have been specifically arranged for all students at Stirling Campus who will
be producing and submitting an academic dissertation in 2004. If this does
not apply to you please accept our apologies and just ignore the remainder
of this email.

This 3 hour session covers a number of word features that enable a
dissertation to be produced with the minimum amount of trouble. If you are
unfamiliar with any of these features it is strongly recommended that you
attend the session. Feedback from students has indicated that those who have
invested the time to attend this session have found it extremely beneficial.
Word Features

· Creating an automatic Table of Contents or Figures
· Controlling different types of page numbering formats
· Footnotes and Endnotes
· Structuring a document using the Page Outline view
· Simplifying formatting changes by using Styles
· How Sections interact with Headers and Footers

Initially we have scheduled 6 sessions with a maximum of 15 places on each.
If there is sufficient demand we will schedule further sessions.
To book a place on a session, please add your name to the Booking Sheets
located at the Information Centre in the Library.

Session Dates

Monday 7th June from 09: 30am - 12:30pm
Tuesday 8th June from 09:30am - 12:30pm
Wednesday 9th June from 09:30am - 12:30pm
Thursday 10th June from 09:30am - 12:30pm

Tuesday 15th June from 13:30pm - 16:30pm
All the sessions will take place in the Training Lab S21 in the Library.

I give up I despair and well ignore the whole lot of them!
