Well people can't say that Stirling isn't an eventful place.… - Keeper of the Cages
Well people can't say that Stirling isn't an eventful place. captain_zhaan phoned me today to say that the police had blocked off Cowane Street, where he lives, and that there were all these policemen hanging around. He had no idea what was going on, and even the Scottish evening news reports didn't mention it, but was on teletext and BBC Scotland (though I guess the reason it wasn't on the news proper was because of the explosion in Glasgow, which has been dominating the news). The police are still there, or at least they were when we came back from TESCO at 9.40pm (obviously driving past just to see what we could see).

Police probe suspicious death

The death of a 64-year-old woman in Stirling is being treated as suspicious by police.

The body of the woman, who was partially sighted, was discovered in a flat in Cowane Street shortly before lunchtime on Thursday.

Police said they believed there may have been an incident nearby in the early hours of Thursday.

Detectives have appealed for anyone who was in the area and saw anything suspicious to come forward.

Hmmm Cowane Street is rather dodgy though. I mean Beth used to live there and they had a drug dealer living below them and people used to sit on their stairs before the door got fixed.
